Wata Igarashi has developed one of techno’s most identifiable sonic signatures. Precision, tension and psychedelic colour converge, generating a sense of cosmic momentum.

The 2025 Dekmantel album My Supernova distills this approach into a bold techno statement, marked by momentum, psychedelia and surgical sound design. 

His catalogue spans The Bunker NY, Figure, Fabric, Midgar, Kompakt and his own WIP imprint, mapping out a body of work that feels cohesive while moving confidently across modes of listening.

Now based in Amsterdam, with roots in Tokyo’s electronic landscape, Igarashi tours globally with both DJ sets and live shows. His performances - DJ or live - move between different contexts, from intense techno focused settings to more listening oriented environments.

Igarashi’s sound has a way of pulling the room into its own gravity - bright, disorienting and brain melting in the best way. Every element of it is, undeniably, his.
