Increasingly recognised for her unapologetic and occasionally unsettling “transsexual acid sound”, Scotia is a beloved DJ and producer in the American rave community. Hailing from Upstate New York, Scotia’s musical work shows signs of her lifelong music fandom reaching well back to the 90s, where she grew up with DIY punk, hip-hop, and rave music.
On a tear for 2026 with performances in Los Angeles, The Bay Area, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Portland (both Oregon and Maine!), Scotia stacked up memorable sets at legendary Detroit festival Movement’s Club Toilet (selected as a Resident Advisor Mix of the Day) and a frenetic B2B with Lauren Flax at Return to the Source. In June, she graced NYC Pride at The Carry Nation and Wrecked’s beloved Get Wrecked and Carry function at Knockdown Center, delighted at cult favorite Spaghetti Strap, and closed out Good Room.
Her new records out on Chinotto Records, The Bunker NY, and Delft Records present a kinetic and hypnotic acid sound that pushes the genre to new limits – and have been supported by the likes of Paranoid London, Mike Servito, Heidi Lawden, and regional queer DJs around America and Europe.
